Community & Congregation Responds to Tragedy

In response to the recent fire at the Nanoose First Nation in which two young boys lost their lives, St. Philip's offered to be the collection depot for donations of clothing, furniture and financial donations. Between Friday and Sunday volunteers received and sorted an abundance of contributions from the community and more than $2,000 was donated to help offset the costs of the funeral, and to assist the two families so tragically impacted by this fire. Our Sunday School children took time to create posters of condolences and the community added their condolences in a book that was placed at the church.
