What's Happening at St. Philip's:

 

St. Philip by the Sea Church Tea and Bake Sale: Sat. May 12th from 1:30 to 4 pm. 
Adults: $10.00 Children 6-12 years: $5.00. Under 6 years: free.

Community News: 

Harmonies for Hope:  Saturday, May 12th - 7:30 pm at St. Philip by-the-Sea.  A concert of  Classical and Popular Favorites.  Benefit for the Taleb  Family Refugee Sponsorship Group.  Featuring students of Donna  Falconer's Voice Studio and Panache Singers.   Admission at the door by donation.  Suggested  Donation: $20 adults, $10 students, $5 children 12 and under.

Gary Fjellgaard and Valdy are coming to St. Andrew’s United Church on May 12th at 8pm. Tickets  are $30/person and available in the church office,  Carol Anderson, Yours and Mine Fashion, and Tom Lee Music.  Come help us celebrate our 125th Anniversary.

SECOND SUNDAYS at FIRST invites you to enjoy singing The 10 Greatest Evening Hymns with choir, organ, piano, and brass at Ladysmith First United Church (Third Avenue at High Street)  on Sunday, May 13, 2018 4 pm.  Part singers especially welcomed. An offering will be received for First's Music Program. Reforming Tradition: A Conversation with Remi De Roo

One of Canada’s longest serving Catholic bishops, participant in Vatican II, scholar, author, advocate on behalf of the poor and critic of capitalism--Remi De Roo has led a remarkable 94 year life of faith in action. Join him for an intimate encounter that includes a public interview with former CBC host Ian Alexander, and questions from the audience. Light refreshments will be served.

Global Village Nanaimo-Fair Trade Store open in May!  The Global Village Nanaimo seasonal Fair Trade Store is open for the month of May to celebrate Fair Trade Month.
